Iris Diaphram Prototype

This is the first build of the iris prototype. 2 Hours in Illustrator, 1 hour on the laser, probably 15 mins of assembly (mostly because the laser didn't cut everything out 100%)




It's just made from scraps I had in my car, and some 1/8" brass rod. I'm keeping it simple with only 5 segments because eventually I'll be hand cutting them from brass. (I think)

Awesome!! Now you need to make a version that'll fit into a 22 foot ring and the Iris has to be made of trinium so that it'll be strong enough to keep things out. xD
