The bird is known as a cocatiel and yes they do "beatbox" all the time, they learn sounds from people and throw them together all the time, into their own songs, they do this in the wild aswell in order to attract an optimal mate. Similar to that of a liar bird however the Liar bird puts a lot more realism into it's sounds
