Hands-on science for the blind is empowering individuals to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields of study. Independence Science and Vernier Software & Technology have partnered to adapt the first accessible laboratory tool for the visually impaired.

Using Voice Access Software, the LabQuest device announces data collection in real-time, file menu navigation, data tables of collected data, a full periodic table and is durable enough to be used in any field or lab experiment. Import data onto the accessible Logger Pro software on a computer for statistical analyses of the data and soon to be the ability to print a tactile graph.
