This weeks experiment is lighting cotton wool using a fire piston. The apparatus is often called Hyman fire piston - I have no idea who he was - he did not invent it as examples have been found from many ancient cultures
It was designed by my dad, Laurence Hyman. Correct, fire pistons were invented hundreds of years ago, but this version (designed some time in the 80's) , using those materials was designed for educational purposes, hence the transparant tube.
