My papa (grandfather) used to wake me up for school singing this song! I'm 28 now and he 85 yrs old and I am still in awe of him! He is one in a million. They don't make men like that anymore.

This song is on a CD of WWI songs recorded by Michael Feinstein.
Of course Michael has no voice at all, but he still conveys the message.

Rocky lives in a retirement home in Arizona. I talk to him occasionally. He still plays his trumpet and visits with his daughter in California.
