Now that they have defeated Ick Thelloth's illusions and breached the monster's containment, it is time for our heroes to put the bloated worm to rest once and for all.
Ick Thelloth takes the price for being one of the most protracted boss battles in history. His most prominent feature is the voodoo curse that reflects a portion of all damage he takes back to a targeted character. This damage is absolute and unreduced by armor, dodge or chi, which means that you must use some sort of healing ability to counteract the damage, and the best candidate for the job is the Knight since he can heal himself very quickly. This fight is mainly divided into two phases: One when Ick Thelloth targets the wrong character, and another when he targets the right character (the Knight). I set up two party chains for these. My priest uses Aurora and Heal to buff the party, while my musketeer puts up a Smokescreen that will block most attacks. The knight's only job in this fight is to absorb damage and survive. Fortify doesn't do much, but it's better than nothing, so use it when you have the time.
I had to fast forward most of this battle because otherwise it would reach youtube's ten minute limit. It is not advisable to play on fast or very fast mode if you are a beginner. Also, I highly recommend you make sure your party is at a decent level before approaching this boss, because after this point there will be no random encounters at all!
The music that plays during this boss battle is called "Demonic Timbre", but you can't hear much of it because I'm spamming my skills, haha.
@dash1141 Well, I've outlined the strategy I use to beat Ick Thelloth in the video description. In short: Use defensive skills and healing. A LOT of healing. Only attack Ick Thelloth when he is targeting your Knight.
Remember that this is the last point at which you can train your party with random encounters. After Ick Thelloth, only a limited number of enemies will be available to you, so make sure you're at a decent level before proceeding.

God. I have tried so god-damned much to beat this boss. Set the difficulty down to Easy and everything. Keeps kicking my f'ing ass.
Hopefully this video helps!
