umm japanese markets sell a TON of dehydrated precooked food pretty cheap. they have mushrooms, veggies, noodles, shrimp, fish, meat, (actually the one nearby has a ton of ready to eat packaged noodles) so just add the dehydrated veggies noodles and chicken stock cubes and your good. Those Campbells select are actually pretty expensive, plus the time it takes.

You poured off the broth? That's where the flavor and nutrients are in soup.

what about cup of noodles?

Hey! Have you tried the Campbell's dehydrated soups already. Are they not as good? They are pretty cheap too.

I always wondered if that would work…. Great Video… Thanks

that seemed to work out fine. And of course, if you ran several trays it would significantly cut the power cost for each meal. Good stuff!
lipton sells dehydrated packages.....somewhere around 4 bucks for 4 pouches @ 2 litres a pouch so why would someone go this road to dehydrate?

@favthings I have used the Liptons. It's basically a broth with barely any noodles. This is a very hearty meal. Much different than the Liptons.

Ok. So it tastes good. How good? 5 out of 10 good or would we be creaping in on an 8 here? I have a dedydrator and you can save me some time if after all that you end up with a 5. Thanks for sharing.

@EconoChallenge I think I am going to have to say a 6 out of 10... I wouldn't go as far as an 8. I think an important thing to remember is this is a healthier meal as well. If it were a cheese lasagna or something it may get up to an 8 or so :) It is Select Harvest. Thanks for the comments!

Interesting. If I had a dehydrator I probably would never have thought of doing soup? Good test nevertheless. Good idea at the end with the thickener and extra powder of stock...Dash Riprock
