Wow I had never watched an interview with Alec Baldwin before. I like him more in person than on 30 rock. How is that possible?

Almost correct, but It has nothing to do with IQ level. We all know that filipino can either be malay or indonesian origin. I think it has to do with the perception of the filipino people on how they live. Like for example just to escape from poverty and to afford some luxury like cheap cars, filipino people prepare to work abroad as slave, not knowing that it has a bad effect. And I think, most has to with the stupid cultures that filipino has.

i agree with all your points. we should FOCUS on CHANGING that perception rather than overreacting on this pun. we should take this as a wake-up call to all filipinos to change the negative image westerners have towards us.

alec baldwin is a great actor. no need to bash. i don't think he meant to slander filipino women. the thing of it is, this mail order bride business does exist (not only in the philippines but various countries); that, in itself should be addressed. i'm filipino. i don't take real offense. yes, it sucks for filipino women to be seen in this light and to be in the butt of jokes. but as a (filipino) community whether in the motherland or global we should focus in changing that perception.
