So the meaning of a Brahmin is the one with knowledge and wisdom.

In our Culture a Village ("Pind" in Punjabi "Dehaat in Hindi" ..meaning the complete body) was a completely self reliant Independent unit..all the needs of a person were taken care of by the different category of people there is said to be 360 types of technicians, which in athere words are casts...this system was in no way to divide the society..rather categorize it

Originally the Caste system Hinduism was not wat has been propogated by the media and the

British / Christian education system (which has done all it can to eliminaten Hinduism).

Its very simple actully ... For example a professor is one of the most respected person in

our society ..In a similar manner A Brahmin was the most respected..IF a "lower cast"

tailor's son get thru to the IIT and does PHD becomes a professor,he becomes on of the

most respected people in the society

The anniversary of the Godhra riots falls today. While this is a tragedy, I wonder when is the anniversary for 300,000 Hindus who were ethnically cleansed from Kashmir? We all know that Hitler killed 6 million jews, but how many know that he also killed more than a milion Gypsies? Their stories are lost, unheard because they are poor & uneducated. If Hindus don't speak up, no one will care - for the sake of all the pain & suffering these poor Hindus had to go thru, Hindus must speak up!

@chironman1 Not hard to achieve, Control desires, food intake should be satvic most of the time, must have prema or heartfelt love just for the sake of it and use Gayatri mantra power to feel awesome when you are humble. @afgnazir17 So you want Hindus to convert to Islam based on your conclusion that "hinduism is weird" haha. Most complex concepts will seem weird at first. You don't see quantum physics being abandoned because it's appears weird to the common man. Either way, no Islam for me. I couldn't give up bacon and lager ha ha ha.

@chironman1 I find it meaningless to be proud of things we're born with/born into- but we should still embrace them nonetheless. Things like religion and race fall in this category. She might be sincere, but are you denying the existence of the tacky image chasing in Hollywood? I was never paintbrushing all Westerners like that. That would be quite a shallow assessment, given the Hindu movements that Westerners have started.

I'm not sure. Either way, I hope she finds what she seeks.
