What a disappointing load of slop this movie is. Wow what a revelation. Byron was a promiscuous pervert. Not a word of his great poetry. What he did in his personal perverted life was his business. Why exploit that and exclude examples of his great talent. Was this not also part of the man? Instead they use him to make a soft porn flick.

I hated this movie. Did I really read that someone thinks Miller is the greatest actor of ALL time? Are you kidding? He was tolerable at most.

In which case I agree with you absolutely. Our world is in the hands of a bunch of full grown hypocrites who often do the most outrageously wrong things, if one were to have a guage on which one end is marked right and one end wrong, and yet we go through our lives nonchalantly believing that it is all okay as long as we get where we are going. I don't agree with Byron's choices in many matters, yet all I am saying is, he didn't seem to be doing anything which wasn't enjoyed by the other party.

That's cool but what irks me slightly is, "...of an age to make a sound decision...", as if to imply that age and intelligent-decision-making are strongly linked. I've seen old people do stupid things and young people do intelligent things. Emotional maturity and age are as different as romanticism and passion. Perhaps i'm being way too pedantic though. I know what you mean.

I definitely agree with you. I wasn't supporting what he was doing, actually I'm anti this way of life but the boy was all in as far as I could see. Deluded the entire lot of them...

Yeah he wasn't raping. He was paying. Byron is thought of as a "Romantic" but to me what they really meant is he was "Passionate". Romanticism and Passion are not the same.
