Music had to be changed (originally Cold As You) so it isn't as good as it was before the copyright issues... I found a montage Do You Remember? about gymnastics and this is kind of the tumbling equivalent. All of the photos and video clips were taken by me at the 2007 USTA Team Trial and Invitational in Evansville.

Athletes include (posted as they come in new, if they are in twice, they'll only be mentioned once):

Various Younger Athletes (until about 0:54); Unknown WPT athlete (green and black); Danica Taylor (Blue, Silver, and Black); Kristle Lowell (Blue); USTA Team Trials Trampoline finalists; Alyssa Yoder ? (lime green and blue); Erin Turner (silver and white); Kelsey Lorman (Blue and White); Sarah Kriz (green, silver, and gold); Caitlin Heidenreich (Blue, Silver, and Black); Anna Marie Filipcic (Blue, Silver, and Black); Maegen Bohac and Fox Valley Team mates (warm ups)

Please comment and tell me what you think. Any constructive critisim or suggestions for future montages would be a great help. Thanx a lot.

TEXT OF VIDEO...
when you were little
all you had to do was try your best
Meets were all about fun
And you didn't care what place you got
It didn't matter if you got a big or little trophy
2nd was as good as 22nd
Mistakes were little
And could always be fixed NEXT TIME
And meets meant a chance to be with friends
And you were desperate to break a spring
A zero was just a smiley face
But then...
Things began to change
You Found Out...
What it was like to be THE best
And so trying your best...
Would never quite be good enough
Competitions became...
SERIOUS
What you Placed...
Determined if you made finals
and not everyone got a trophy
2nd meant a smile and 22nd tears
And skills got hard...
And so mistakes got scary
And Falls...
Got harder to get up from
And there wasn't a second chance
and your friends...
became just competition
you realized breaking springs was painful
And getting a zero
hurt more than being punched
but then...
people don't play sports because it is fun...
ask any athlete most of them hate it, but they couldn't imagine their life without it
but that's who we ARE

  • girly let me tell it to you straight you have issues thats not true at all and friends STAY friends.....i can help you with your problems....

  • @epiccooki3 it becomes hard in any sport to stay friends w/ someone you constantly compete against especially if one athlete becomes better than the other. Gym rivalries can destroy friendships and so can one tumbler switching gyms. In a situation where ou are constantly pushed to be better than other athletes... friendships suffer....

  • Actually I was the person in last place and I didn't realize the picture cut it off, but I got zeros on a double-mini pass for doing straight jumps... It was directed towards that not the scratch

  • did you change the music on this video? i liked it better befor

  • yeah i had to or else it wouldn't be able to be up at all... I liked it the first way much better

  • Im intermediate [TwistStars ! ] and sometimes I love it and sometimes I hate it, but I love my friends and my coaches and I can't imagine life without tumbling and tramp [double mini too]. Im kinda happy I havent got to the national team stage yet, but I know it will be fun and hard once I get there. good video. your on saltos? is that a team? i dont really know... yeah i am on TwistStars!

  • yeah i'm with saltos... it's a really small team we have roughly 17 kids who compete tumbling, but I used to be at patti's

  • I think i no someone in here!!!!

  • @epiccooki3 actually most of this is true i mean i do artistic gymnastics not power tumbling but a lot of this is still true. And friends CAN stay friends but a lot of times the pressure of competition tears them apart I've seen it happen its actually pretty common.

  • @Saltos91 trust me. that same thing happened at my gym. two elites that were separated because one switched. then it was just a competition to get better. i know exactly how you feel. do you compete in IL?? i do.

  • @Saltos91 I totally know what your saying. Our gym just recently transfered owners (coach from Prairieland T&T) to my gym (Mattoon Academy). One of our elites that transfered was best friends with another elitefrom there. The other girl decided to stay, and now its nothing but drama. It's tough. But what makes you get better, you have to do. Your true friends will accept what happens, whether it be you getting better than them or them getting better than you.

  • well if you think about it in that way it WILL be like that

  • Hey! Great video, i miss the old days as a kid! Just wondering but do you compete as an Illinois tumbler, because I saw fox valley, and I don't tumble with them but against them, and i tumble in illinios. so just message me, maybe i know you! lol. I SWEAR ON MY LIFE I AM NOT A STALKER THOUGH!
