Open to pre-unit and unit but prizes may vary. LOL! Sorry no hand cranking 250's, if you do have a 250 you have to do 6 (in 2min) more kicks than highest 441 or 500/580 does by Jan 1 2011.

A leaky valve can spoil a summer so remember to compression test or check your valves when having a hard time starting by filling inlet and exhaust tracts with gas, preferably off the bike away from the fireplace. Some may blame Lucas points LOL! At 43 I know there are 60+ kids out there that can do better. Link to this video as a response,

Thought it would be a good contest and test of the myth Lucas points make for hard starting BSA singles. I am sure a good kicker with Boyer can do much better than 9 starts in 11 or so kicks and 1 minute. Then repeat in following minute another 9. The complete clutch gasket kit will go to the person with a video of their BSA unit single starting 10 times per/minute or better for 2 minutes.
Contest open worldwide and closes Jan. 1st 2011.

Oh this is 11.5-1 compression BSA last I checked, skimmed head and side draft mods.

So what are you trying to say?The BSA can be started more times successfully using points and less using electronic ignition?Is the bike being kicked over fitted with points?Where's the bike that has the electronic ignition to test the points one against.Or is the BSA fitted with an electronic ignition and you have tested it against one with points? I don't understand the measurements that you've got on the computer screen what's that about?
