This program tells the second-by-second story of a moment that changed the world forever: the dropping of the atomic bomb on August 6, 1945. Through the eyes of those in the air and on the ground, including the last interview with the weapons test officer who armed the bomb, we'll experience the events as they unfolded that tragic day.

Does Nanking seem fair? 300,000 people killed?

    The chemical bombs killing 400,000?

    Unit 731 another 12,000?

The anthrax-laced chocolate killing god knows how many children?

It didn't suddenly go PH -> Hiroshima. If it was the war would be over in a day.

Not really, many consider Enola Gay to have saved more lives than his crew killed.

something like 'touche' could have done the job. But it's alright, I'll settle with that haha

jk. but yeah, your reply's a discussion killer, saying 'i don't care' is not rebuttal.

The Russell-Einstein Manifesto was named for a reason. Bertrand Russell was critical of the use of nuclear weapons on the very day it was first used.

Heart cries when I realize what people are capable of doing! From city of 80 % civilians to a trash pile! 75000 people died in seconds, 70000 injured in Hiroshima only and 40000 died in Nagasaki! Who can prove to me that it worth it?

2 wrongs don't make a right. An 'end' isn't necessarily a good thing. If japan had the technology first and dropped those bombs in New york or something, the war would be over then too. As for who was 'on the right side': modern history always suggests that the victors were the 'good guys'. The wrong deeds of a few shouldn't be an excuse to execute millions.
