i was on the grass... there was a mad dash to the other side of the tower with people being pushed and shoved all over. i made it all the way directly underneath the tower. i will post my video soon. i have the grande finally. absolutly amazing.
last year they played sound tracks to movies durring the display, such as star wars.

Same thing happened to me. I had no idea that about Bastille day, but a friend called me and told me about it while I was there. It was amazing.

Yeah, I saw the parade that morning on t.v. and knew something was up. Even the receptionist didn't know what it was for!

It was an amazing night! I was just behind the Eiffel Tower (which blocked my view of the higher fireworks), but still managed to see most of them! The soundtrack was great (especially Mozart). Took us 3 hours to get home that night! Usually takes 20 mins! Glad you posted this, nice to re-live it.

Wow, I never knew I'd get such great comments! Sorry you missed some of the fireworks. Yeah, I loved the classical music too. And luckily my hotel was only a few blocks away! Take care.
