Kim was very sweet woman. Met her many many times over the years with her husband Bob. Seventh Victim is a classic. Long before Rosemary's baby and the like, the film portrayed the evil and darkness lurking among the ordinary in plain sight. In this case Greenwich Village. This must have been one of her last interviews. Great Lady.

SEVENTH VICTIM was re-released mid-1950s x RKO with another Lewton classic. Saw it then, & later @ NYC New Yorker Theater, Bway/88th Halloween film fest. This film had an unusual atmosphere, like another Lewton ISLE OF THE DEAD---permeated by Death as a real palpable presence. Title character hangs it up audibly off-screen: unique in film history. This film hit in post-war Europe [all the Lewtons did, by which time he was no longer @ RKO, tragic loss]. Story made for studio-era B&W,color NG.

Kim Hunter is such a underestimated actress. The interviewer just does not do her justice.... cutting her off when she starts to describe here role in "A Matter of Life and Death" was unforgiveable. What a missed opportunity to get here insight into that historic film.
