"TriVita Chief Science Officer Brazos Minshew and clinical nutritionist Christa Orecchio explain why it's so important to ensure your children are eating nutritiously. Learn types of foods you should avoid and healthier substitutes to help your kids build strong bones, immune systems, minds and bodies.

Christa Orecchio's mission is to help as many people as possible to both heal and achieve vibrant health and well-being by providing life-changing nutritional education, resources and counseling. She is a Clinical Nutritionist and Holistic Health Counselor who founded "The Whole Journey" to help people live healthier, happier and more energetic lives through whole food nutrition, supplementation and healthy lifestyle guidance.
Christa graduated from The Natural Healing Insititute and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in NYC, accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. IIN faculty members include many esteemed luminaries of the nutrition world such as David Wolfe, Sally Fallon, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Andrew Weile, Dr. Barry Sears, Annemarie Colbin and Dr. Joseph Mercola. IIN is the only nutrition school that integrates all the various dietary theories -- combining the knowledge of western and eastern philosophies with modern concepts like the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods.

Christa has been regularly featured as a nutrition expert on ABC news, San Diego 6 and KUSI news, as well as newspapers and magazines including The Union Tribune, Ranch and Coast and Encinitas Magazine. She is a guest contributor to Fitness Magazine, The Miami and San Diego Examiner and various other national publications."
