@beatrizzy94 DiC wasnt responsible for Mercury's voice change, they only dubbed the first two seasons. CWI (Cloverway International) dubbed the second two seasons with many voice actor changes.

@joemo7384 Mercury has no atmosphere, it does not hold a stable global temperature like the Earth 24/7. Instead, it's dark-side can reach a temperature of 185 below zero and maybe lower and as Seriiko said, ice can be found in its craters. That is probably where the water-ice attacks were inspired from. It is also inspired from many forms of Astrology and Element Philosophies where the planet Mercury is aligned with the water element. Most scouts were actually based off of this, actually.

I wish they didn't change Mercury's voice though. Why the sudden change? I liked their old voice better :P
