  • Neither AA nor TWA were represented by AFA. Pat Friend is the International President of AFA. That is who she represents, 21 different carriers all part of AFA (not AA). Sorry for the confusion.

  • If anyone wants to see AMR/AA true colors go to "YOU TUBE/Flight Attendant Slams Airline"... even their own (APFA members) declare war on AMR/AA. Focus on the written legal comment supplied by Mr.Tim Smith representing AMR/AA! By the term, and I quote, "Our Customers Lives" vs "Our Passengers Lives" all is said! AMR/AA views you as profit not as a live entrusted in a transportation medium!

  • @frezzalata Furlough is a company imposed leave on which you retain medical benefits and travel benefits but not pay, the tricky part is that after 5 years you loose the recall rights and the company can get rid of you and re hire for lower wages and less benefits! American after 9/11 furlough all TWA Flight Attendant OVER WORK theirs in order to overlap the recall time (5years) and now they got rid of the high seniority, high paying TWA PROFESSIONALS! American Airlines IS THE WORST!

  • I hate American Airlines and their "workers". A merger is a merger. American gave them false hope and then stabbed them in their backs. If American hadn't bought them there were other parties that were beginning to show interest.

And who is the failing airline now? Maybe DL should buy them and put all AA on the bottom. How would that feel?

  • TWA was a failing airline, so if AMR had not purchased TWA, the TWA flight attendants would have lost their jobs anyway. Sad but true. If the TWA flight attendants had merged their seniority with the AMR list, then thousands of AMR flight attendants would have been furloughed! What would have been fair about that?

  • afa had to sign off on the agreement...lol,,,and they blame AA...idiots!

  • @ThreeHeartsFarm

Hi my name's Mauri, I'm an italian flight attendant. Can you please explain me what in America "furlough" is. As far as I understood must be kind of a licence or a forced unpayed leave in which you keep the job?

thanx for the info, you can write my here or even if you have FB my name is Maurizio Frezza Induno Olona...thanx

  • Absolutely disgusting.

  • Further more AAirliners, AMR/AA wanted our gates & landing rights to many routes, they had your crews after 9/11 slaving overtimes in order to extend TW furlough pass the 5 year legal cutoff. After AIM made a deal with your Flight Attendant Union APFA they put TW Crews in the bottom of the Seniority List to allowed it to happen, 9/11 or not that was the plan from day one! AMERICAN CAN GO STRAIGHT TO HELL WERE IT BELONGS!

  • To AAirliners, I flew for TWA International for many years and I'm glad I left before the AA take over, till today I will not fly AA, don't worry you have it coming to you, DL/NW will have you for breakfast!
