This song is the reason why I'm a big fan of Little Chrissy and the Alphabeats today. Not kidding. This is my personal favorite. The drums and keyboard melody really make the cut.

"Well, a rock's not alive." "No. No. No. No."
Poor Zoe. She would be devastated to know that 'Rocko' is not alive, whereas Elmo would feel vindicated, since he's been trying to tell his girl friend this for years!

i really like this song. I know its for kids, but it is invigorating to sing it sometimes. Its a great song. It does what music is supposed to do. Its not nasty or questionable or mean. Just a song to remind yoy you are alive. i appeciate it.

This song was an original work. It doesn't sound like any other song I know.
And this song was from 1980.

Very interesting.

I saw this song on the Rock 'n Roll video, too, when I was a girl.

Or until the Sesame Street website puts it up in their videos section.

Panda: You mean besides being utterly adorable, Elmo's World notwithstanding?
Was this song a parody? and What year in the 80's was this done?
