Specter's ally, Mama Luigi betrayed Specter, but using Yellow Monkey to destroy Specter's one and only Earth base. Specter swores revenge, and tries to take over the world. But after thinking through about failing 4 times in a row, a random commercial appears, and gives Specter an idea...

Specter decides to pick on Mario and his friends. This time, he's gotten smarter. So he gets to his secret space station, and calls in his newest ally: The Subspace Army. Their mission: To detonate a subspace bomb in Tokyo.

As the Ape Escape world gets sucked into the subspace, Pit witnessed from the heavens, and was asked by Palutena to go stop Specter from causing anymore trouble.

What else can go wrong?
