Learn cue ball control. Knowing where the cue ball goes after it hits the object ball is second only in importance to making your shot. Making a shot isn't worth diddly if you leave yourself hooked.

Try this: throw all 15 balls on the table. Start with ball in hand.

Your goal is to sink as many balls as you can without:

a) missing

b) touching any other balls with the cue ball

It's not easy, but you'll start to discover you can control the path the cue ball takes, and where it stops.

good shot, it did not look easy to me, and i can set a rack on its side standing up and jump it with no gap. but its a bit harder to clear a ball.
