5.9.78 by Boards of Canada (Unofficial Video)

This is my visual interpretation of the song "5.9.78" by Boards of Canada from their cassette release "A Few Old Tunes".

Should be playable in high quality. The next time I do one of these I'll make sure to use clips that are widescreen so I can make it HD. Speaking of which, the clip used is "The Story" by ACI Productions, ironically made in 1969. I think of this song to be very explorational, organic in every sense of the word, and that's what led me to choose this. What do you think?

ya gotta wonder if the few old tunes album was actually BOC's music. they havent confirmed that it is theirs. then again they havent denied it either. some are saying they are fake. anyone else have an input on this?

This release in particular is real, as there have been instances that people have come across the original copies, but as for any of their other material (Such as the untitled BoC Audiotrack videos I posted), I don't know. There's not much evidence for or against except for the stylistic quality...

BoC tends to re-use samples even from way back to keep it fresh. I really don't doubt these tapes were made by them. They were probably just some B-Sides that got remade or scrapped because they didn't fit with the album. I wouldn't even doubt that BoC may have leaked it themselves.
