so if I want to marry my dog I should be able to? Is that because I'm a minority? Or I'm a pediphile. My sexual preference is 14 year olds. What is wrong with that? I mean I might be a minority but I should have that right according to you. Just because people do something doesn't make it right. Pedophelia has existed since the dawn of man, & there are animals that have sex with their offspring as well. However; that doesn't make it right.

Let's ban divorce. How about banning children from supermarkets? I'm sure gay men aren't the only people who can't stand a screaming breeder offspring who will eat our taxes away yet we don't get the proper civil rights. your analogy to homosexuality and race is misguided. being gay may or may not be a choice but living the gay lifestyle is a choice and thats why we are here. the government doesn't ask you whether you are gay or straight. sexual orientation has nothing to do with the issue.you can't compare an immutable characteristic (race, gender, etc) to somebody's behavior. A lifestyle is not a minority. Jews blacks and women were discriminated against for who they were not for who they were having sex with

I am an Atheist and *because* I am an atheist, I respect others and have an open mind towards things like homosexuality.
That being said, you are ignorant. It is a very simple argument and you have provided nothing to refute it other than whines about how you "feel" I am too "hateful", which, I never am.

Why is it that some people instantly think about marrying animals and inanimate objects when we talk about gay marriage? Who's the "sick one" here exactly? I'm talking about adult humans. I'm also not talking about pedophilia either. Again, more sick thinking.
The real question is this: why do you think that rights have to be given only to some and not others. As a member of a minority group, you should know better. What if your group was not allowed to marry?

I despise Homosexuals. Not because of their choice to be gay or because I find homosexuals "evil" or "disgusting".
I despise them because they are screwing with the world, I have NOTHING against people practicing their sexuality with others of the same gender, they have every right to do so.
However, when they actively try to *Change the World* in order to be more comfortable, at the expense of others, I will have a problem with that.
That is pretty much it.

How do you figure that gay folks are "trying to change the world"?
In fact, gay and lesbian (and their evil twin cousins, bisexuals) have been around since the dawn of history.
Even further in fact, homosexuality exists in the animal kingdom in just about the same percentage as it does in humans.
Even further, further in fact, homosexuals have been marrying since marriage began; albeit not in California!
