latest data coming from the UN show that 98% of all pollution is caused by thievery and sabotage, so Shell has been quite 'humble' by admitting 50%. stop all the complaining, or stop driving a car!

Could someone tell me why the magical Shell scenario method didn't work in Nigeria? How hard would the current scenario in Nigeria have been to predict?

One more thing: you say on your website that "Shell companies generate billions of dollars of income for the government, create jobs and provide energy for the country"
You should check corruption levels in Nigeria before you pay a government, especially when it is a military dictatorship as was the case in 1995 when the Ogoni nine were hanged.
Secondly, Nigeria has to import oil daily because refineries break down regularly, making it dependent on foreign countries for oil. Good job Shell.

@njett1968 It's not just that, the Ogoni people of Southern Nigeria have been systematically persecuted and had their human rights abused by Shell in association with numerous Nigerian dictatorships and corrupt governments.
A man called Ken Saro Wiwa stood up for human rights in the region and he was hanged -murdered by the dictatorship in association with Shell.
There are Amnesty International videos on youtube documenting Shell's abuses in the Niger Delta.

i cant believe Shell is doing this :(
i also heard BP is doing deals with Libya

How about "The real reason for these catastrophes are Western World agriculture subsidies that make it impossible for African farmers to profitably farm."
This is propaganda.
1) While 28% of the explosions on the pipelines are caused by thieves, 50% of the explosions are caused by the lack of maintenance, something which should be done by Shell (Evoh, 2009).
2) The real winners aren't gangs who have nothing to lose, it's the Shell corporation: Shell made $5 billion revenues in Nigeria in one year, but invested $10 million into the river states (Okemini, 2006). That's 0.2%. A small price to pay for environmental destruction and high profits.

i cant believe that cnn is documenting such bullshit and is defending shell!
Shell admitted for one year that just 50 percent of all oil spills are because of sabotage. the true percentage of the oil lecks which shell caused will be much higher, but its also interessenting that shell admitted at least 50 percent.
