Saudia take off performance policy is to use the least thrust required. As Riyadh has long runways and no obstacles the t/o power is reduced to the absolute minimum. That is the reason for the seemingly slow takeoff. Furthermore, the weights are fairly high. Even though Lahore is a short flight, taking fuel for out/back is common due to the very low (practically nil) price paid by SV for fuel in the kingdom. Hope that helps a bit to understanding, salaam u alaykom.

Looks as if the plane had a tough time lifting off the ground.
Lucky you were in the desert otherwise you would have been pruning treetops all the way to your destination!

Service of Saudia is quite good... but not up to the standards of Emirates or Etihad..
