in order to play nwn2 at max, u need to i5 at least with a 480 at least. with 470 and phenom IIx4, i still get 20rish fps in town in storm of zhair expansion

Did you check the requirements? It requires 1.66GHz, though allot of people only have 1.5GHz. It's worth checking before you buy any computer game, and that's the most likely problem, and most easily avoidable.
