Apparently in the last five years quads got expensive again, either way inlines still cost much more because you can have fully custom molded boots which alone can run $1200. My former speed coach and boss, is starting a quad speed skating club in the North Eastern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania region soon. Also I am getting new quads, slowly and in pieces, next step will be a 395 boot I think.

I was just at a roller rink. Man some sweaty dude bashed into me, knocking me out of my skates and sprained my wrist. Yeah and you are in Roller Derby? Damn pain must be your dream

lol I love when someone comments on a months-old comment of mine that I forgot about! I was expecting a video featuring Jim Croce's "Roller Derby Queen" (one of my favorite songs & probably what I was looking for when I found this).

I'm still not sure of what I think of e-begging. I guess if the e-beggar is being honest about what they're using the money for (and spending 5 minutes googling "Mickipedia" confirms that she really does Roller Derby), then what can you say?
