@JesterNlove I dont think they are vague. I think it's logic and common sense. I think they could have found other ways to make the story interesting and attractive.
Whiplash goes to monaco: One thing is to see him in monaco trying to find Stark and another thing is to see him disguised as security and going EXCACTLY to where Tony's car was suposed to be. well, tony is "textbook narcissist" And Vanko didnt know he would be on the racetrack; but he did know he would be in Monaco. I think he would have tried to kill him regardless of where he was. And he survived because its Iron Man...its a super hero movie and the event of him surviving probably was meant to emphasis that he was a bad ass or something. etc.
