Many of us believe that success comes with age. Well, not necessarily. According to these two talents, success comes from hard work, sleepless nights, constant networking, and an incredible passion for your craft. Besides, these two have a fantastic and unbelievably successful portfolio to prove that age holds no barriers. We introduce you to fashion photographer, Lara Jade, and commercial/advertising photographer, Joey L.

While both Lara and Joey started their careers in their early teens, they have now put big names under their belt in each of their respective fields.

Bio: "LARA JADE is an internationally acclaimed fashion, portrait and commercial photographer.
Lara's most compelling quality is the ability to colour her images with strong elements of romanticism, fantasy and a hint of darkness. Her unique style has defined her work since picking up her first camera at the age of fifteen, when she first started experimenting with self-portraiture and themes of fantasy which she continues to develop and refine today.
At only seventeen Lara started her own business -- Lara Jade Photography. Beginning by taking on small clients, she was soon able to demonstrate a strong understanding of how to develop the commercial side of her business to adequately deal with the high demand for her work. Lara's momentum has continued to build, with industry leading brands and well known fashion and photography magazines worldwide.

In addition to her commercial success, Lara also continues to be a source of inspiration for millions of other photographers and artists who follow her work across the social media scene. Lara is currently working worldwide and is represented by leading agencies in London, Milan & America. Lara has also been fortunate enough to receive a number of sponsorships, including Canon, Bowens Lighting, Broncolor, Lensbaby, Wacom, Datacolor, and is currently designing her own range of camera bags for US camera bag brand Naneu. Lara was also winner of the Public Choice Award at the 2009 AOP Open Awards. As well as working on her extensive clientele & personal work, Lara also tutors successful workshops worldwide, teaching fashion and beauty classes.

Even today, Lara relentlessly strives for perfection and continues to develop and refine her portfolio."

Joey L is a Canadian-born photographer and director currently based in New York City. His big named clients are impressive, but his personal work exemplifies a rare and unique focus on photojournalism.

SELECT COMMERCIAL CLIENTS:

Verizon, Nickelodeon, History channel, FX Channel, Smirnoff, Pennzoil, Kawasaki, Summit Entertainment, Forbes, Services for the Underserved, The Government of Abu Dhabi

EXHIBITION:

"Joey L. is an entirely new breed of photographer who brings photojournalism to the fine art arena. The dignity and beauty that he portrays in peoples of rapidly vanishing cultures are incredibly important in getting their message out to the world." —Dr. Peter Keller, President, Bowers Museum

"These exquisite images evoke in the most powerful and glorious way the place of origin of all humanity. From Africa, 40,000 years ago, our human ancestors began their great journey and within 2500 generations carried the human imagination to every corner of the habitable world. " —Wade Davis, National Geographic Explorer, Ethnobotanist, Anthropologist, Author

"Joey L's subjects present themselves with an artistry which bridges the gap between them and the viewer. We see their frailty, and their pride and resilience in confronting our myopia, which condemns them as backward, dispensable, and moribund 'primitives'. Joey L's art penetrates their exoticism and shows us the sheer beauty of our shared humanity, with all its tragedy and hope." —Stephen Corry, Director, Survival International

"The images are breath taking and this collection is alive with the all universal vibrations of our existence" —DMC, Musician

We always appreciate new, fun and fresh ideas and keeping you in the loop of extra inspiration. These two powerhouses have decided to come together for a educational "shoot out" that has been in the making for 2 years. Amidst their busy schedule of clients and travel, they put together an all encompassing "workshop on a disc". Photoshop, challenges, street photography, editorial, studio...seems pretty packed. Plus, some killer illustrations from Sam Spratt Illustrations.

  • @libbyedwards1 Shallow mah nutz playah..!

  • @biancarace94 From what I read, it's like being at a workshop and learning a lot of the ways on how they edit and all that. So, although, in some senses, I do agree that it is expensive, at the same time, it's not. But yes, Lara Jade is also one of my favorite photographers who also really inspires me as well. :D

  • @JosieSanelly how shallow.

  • Lara Jade is the most beautiful women in the world! and now I know that she has a really nice voice too.

  • I'd prefer it if you just interviewed them and stopped blabbering on and on.

  • Complete shit.
