ASADOYA YUNTA performed by the Chicago Okinawa Performing Group

This is a video of the Chicago Okinawa Performing Group playing the Okinawan sanshin at the New Years party of the Chicago Okinawa Kenjinkai. The sanshin is the traditional instrument of the Okinawan people. This is a wonderful performance because they mixed a little choreography in by standing and adding in movement. Traditionally sanshin has been played from a sitting position.
