There is poor ventilation and no air conditioning on London’s tube! So my friends and I decided to leave home-made foam board fans on the seats for everyone to use/fan themselves/enjoy! Some simple instructions were also designed on one side of the fan, with a velcro on the other side to ‘paste’ the fan onto the seat’s fabric.

  • Haha!

I'm an easily distracted student, and whilst referencing an assignment I found this vid linked in 'cite them right' so I couldn't not see if it were real...

    Wicked video!

  • LOL

  • brilliant advertising potential there,

so you sell adds on those?

some clever design front and back and you could have some somewhat subliminal suggestion,

    maybe a two part animation,

like the bird and cage on a card spinning on a string

  • What is a tube? Why is hot bad?

    Only kidding.

  • Dust comes from brake shoes, steel rail contact and electrical contactors/motor brushes. I wonder if brake shoes used still contain ASBESTOS as in the past!!! This dust combo stays in tunnel to be puked (picked up) by trainset HVAC system 'fresh air intake.'

  • Eat your heart out mates. NYC subway cars have TWO HVAC systems that maintain 72'temperature in new pressurised cars with banks of air filters changed out upon every inspection and they come out DIRTY with a nasty dust like copier toner For just two bucks you can run all 740 miles of active trackage 24/7 till you exit. Newest rebuilt station is Stillson Avenue in Coney Island BROOKLYN with a photovoltaic roof that powers ventilation fans. BTW:cars use AC tractiomotors and composite brake shoes

  • I must concur. Unfortunately, it seems that sort of communication is becoming a lost art.

  • Ahh. It's exceedingly refreshing to hear such intelligent and well articulated conversation.

  • I would never make such a brash insinuation as to say we invented everything we take for granted (though some Americans might disagree with me). Credit is definitely due to the U.K. for certain inventions and creations which influence our lives for the better. I would also like to thank you for calling me "sagacious." It's rare to hear anyone use such words anymore.
