Hello pro football fans from our Rockstar studio this is our NFL Injury Report for the sports betting public as well as Fantasy Football players.
The NFL returns to London England on Sunday as the New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers battle on British soil. Unfortunately for European fans Reggie Bush will miss the trip. The Saints star running back suffered an injured meniscus on his left knee that required surgery on Monday. New Orleans local newspaper reports have Bush missing between 2 and 4 weeks. Last years game in London saw a very low scoring 13-10 win by the NY Giants over the Miami Dolphins in a steady rain. A look at the odds here has the Chargers a 3-point favorite.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Bengal starting quarterback Carson Palmer will miss next weeks game at Houston. The former Heisman Trophy winner from Southern Cal has a sore elbow suffered way back in week 3 against the NY Giants. With the Bengals sitting at 0-7 on the season some experts believe Palmer may be shut down for the season with his team having little hope of making the post season. Ryan Fitzpatrick has struggled in relief as Cincinnati has scored only 36 points in the backup QBs 3 starts. The odds have the Texans as 10-point favorites this week.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook told local reporters that he is on track to play next week against the Atlanta Falcons. Westbrook suffered broken ribs in the Eagles 23-17 loss to Washington in week 5 and missed the teams victory over San Francisco. The team is coming off a bye last weekend and is an 8-½ point home favorite against the surprising Atlanta Falcons.
That will do it for todays NFL injury report. Check back to GamblersTelevision.com this week as Tony T delivers his picks from week 8 of the NFL season.
