@MyDude1991 yeah, my best guess is that he had no clue. they gave us the viewer a hint, but there was nothing in that episode or the following one that made it seem that he was able to put two and two together

@MyDude1991 yeah the english speaking tenchi community must be some weak sauce comapred to the japanese one cuz there are definitely not enough resources for how great the show was!

@TypeZeta and also the novels are in japanese and they are rare so I would have to go to japan lol... but I read somewhere that the counter actor became insane in the future.. and that that energy being created everything including tenchi, the goddesses, and all the universes.. and he probably played with them and made the choussen believe they created a being higher than themselves.. when the higher being existed in a dimension none of them understood yet lol.

@MyDude1991 that definitely seems like what they were implying. they had the ghostly image (which looked like a certain character, not to spoil anything for others =P) who seemed to have some kind of god like power. I believe I read online that his connection/higher being powers are explained/explored more fully in the novels/manga. I do love the storyline, just the way they did it in ova 3 was way too ramshackle

@TypeZeta I really think that tenchi is somehow connected to that higher being... I mean he could just be the higher being in mortal form you know? like some sort of avatar.... but idk.
