yes, it's not classical music as in beethoven, mozart, or scarlatti. but it's generally accepted to be in the classical music genre, minimalism being a subgenre such as baroque, romantic, serialist music are classical subgenres, etc.

@madpop17 it's just rapidly repeated notes, kind of like a tremolo on a stringed instrument.

@pumaz279 ACTually, there are two generally recognized definitions of the word classical in reference to music. There is Classical, which defines the period of music between Baroque and Romantic, composers of the era including Mozart and Beethoven. The other is classical (note the lack of capitals?), which describes the entirety of music that is considered artistic, that does not fall into the category of popular, jazz or folk. So really, Classical was an era in classical music...

@pumaz279 Actually the Romantic period came after Classical...

Actually, Baroque and Romantic were the music periods before the classical era, NOT sub-genres.

Obviously had to play faster to fit it into a 10min youtube clip! Very nice.

@madpop17 its actually a tremolo. vibrato is a rapid change in pitch, tremolo is a rapid change in volume. phasing is done with a sweeping EQ changing the formant of the sound. its funny though, with guitars the vibrato bar actually controls a tremolo, and the tremolo knob controls the vibrato. its the only case where its backwards

I can never tell if the beginning is controlled vibrato or phasing? This might be a stupid question but does anybody know? It's driving me nuts. Thanks
