This is my old 1990 300ZX (Z32) NA 2+2 (SOLD 5-8-09). It was equipped with a super rare JDM single exit cat-back exhaust: HKS Super Dager. I think there are maybe two other Z32's with this system in the USA. Obviously it's not widely known and is not widely accepted among US Z32 tuners. Most prefer the dual exhaust.

I got this exhaust because 2+2's are very limited in terms of cat-back exhaust systems. Many Z32 tuners in Japan run single exit set-ups. Nothing has been proven as far as HP gain or loss but I did notice a lighter weight difference when compared to stock. I will state, however last time I checked, Japanese tuners still had the fastest street Z32's (Twin Turbo of course).

Not much done to my Z32. Had BLITZ SUS Intake, Spec. Z test-pipes, and the HKS Drager catback. Gutted interior with a SPARCO Fiberglass seat. Lowered on TEIN Springs and KYB AGX shocks and sitting on 17" ADVAN Siena wheels. Some other goodies here and there.

Had plans to build a monster NA Drag Z32 while I was still in the machine shop business but I have moved back to California and have since gotten out of that business. Sold the car a while ago. Getting back into older Japanese classics and hopefully will be back into an older Z.

  • how much does that exhaust run?

  • Can't find them new anymore. Maybe NOS in Japan but it would be hard to find...

  • Im am soo damn sold on this video Im gonna have mine done like this are you using a center muffler on this? The Greddy system has one i just wana know cause i might get this custom made.

  • There is a center resonator or "pre-muffler" if you will... this definitely would help quiet the system down as you can hear in my vid... single exit exhaust on a Z32 is loud as hell especially on an NA.

  • Greddy used to if not still sell the single side for the 2+2 i know someone who has one for sal but i live in New York ant there in Georga.sweet sound i cant wait to get mine done like this!

  • Thanks for the comment! The GReddy single exit is discontinued. All of the major performance companies made a single exit exhaust for the Z32 which includes: GReddy/TRUST, HKS, APEXi, and not to mention numerous other lesser known companies in Japan. Most of these of course were 2+2's but 2+0 versions were available. My favorite being the ESCORT Racing Ti exhaust for the 2+0.

  • sounds like an rb26, definitely the single exhaust is the best option for the Z32.

  • @BassRacerx true

  • that shit sounds too fuckin nice

  • @myz32rocks is the stock exhaust system y pipe into two muffelers or is it one muffeler per manifold (true duel)

  • man thats fucking beast

  • my friend has one like that on his s14 and sounds beautiful

  • My Super Dragger was much quieter than that although being a TT does help towards that. I sold mine for dirt cheap a few years ago to a chap who grafted it to his existing Super Dragger and now has a dual HKS system that looks and sounds quite nice. I replaced mine with a nice Quad tipped polished SS LaBree system. I'm much happier with it's sound and appearance now.
