Muay thai is all about consideration. To be considering, in ones heart, how to use body as an instrument, finely tuned, to beeing able to perform hits and blows.

@101010rae They just stand there reactively.... that makes the whole difference. They await an opportunity to make a move, that is why it is really self defence or reactive boxing, when the move has been made from the opponent, then he has set the fight on go, and they just follow. Bruce Lee and all chinese literature tell us to follow, never go ahead.
The legs are primarily used, as they have greater range of movement, can hit harder and makes follow ups by hands and elbow possible.

What one is really training, is ones heart. Ones heart is beeing ekstended in each and every hit and blow one performs. That is why that muay thai fighters are never getteing too exhausted to beeing able to handle their breathing, they never really seems to be grasping for air.
Therefore Ronnie is right. There is no real skilldevelopment in many newcommers approach to muay thai, but this can be developed by awareness of ones heart and how ones heart react, feel and percieve the world we are...

What Ronnie is really talking about, is (skills of) heart. Ronnie says there is rage in many new commers to muay thai fighting "skills", I add, that there is often no real heart, no real kind heart. The kind heart is by nature observant, patient, gentle, humble, courageous, etc., etc.
The above mentioned qualities is what makes life sweet and not dreadfull, dreadfull it is, if these values are not consiously applied to ones muay thai life and/or daily life.

@poncekid56 Yeah, I hear they fight every other couple weeks. They're way out of some of our guys leagues, but it's just experience though, they get it earlier than most of us do.
