Portenzo 23.5 White iPad 2 Moleskine Case Unboxing & Review - In this video I am going to show you my Portenzo 23.5 White Moleskine iPad 2 Case.. as you will see.. these cases are designed to look similiar to an original moleskine book.. from a distance you cannot tell that I have an iPad in a case.. it just appears to be a book which is one of the reasons why I like the look of these cases. I will quickly show you how it looks without an iPad 2 inserted.. closeups.. opened and closed.. Then I will insert my wife white iPad 2 and then again show you closeups of how it sits inside the case.. I will also show you how it works just like the Apple smart cover by using a small magnet embedded inside the front cover to put your iPad asleep. I also quickly cover how the sound is much better inside the case because of the sound being chambered towards you instead of away like an iPad 2 is without a case.. I will also show you how it will stand in landscape mode to allow you to use it for viewing a movie or a presentation .

History of the name "Twenty Three and a Half"

Darin (the owner of Portenzo) had a contest on MacRumors forum to see if anyone could answer why he chose that name for this special edition white leather case.. after the dust settled.. no one answered correctly so they drew a name from a hat... and pulled a winner.. however.. he did say the reason for the name is because he could think of 23 and 1/2 reasons why he loves what he does.. so there you have it.. little trivia there :)

Another note i wanted to say was this video was recorded with my digital camera.. then the video was converted using the same program i used to show you how to convert video to work in iMovie for the iPad 2.. then i synced them to my iPad to edit with iMovie.. after i finished editing in iMovie i went ahead and added narration using iMovie and the built in microphone on the iPad.. so there you go.. you can see you CAN do it but apple should make it easier to import videos from different sources to iMovie.. either way it got done and i think it came out pretty good myself.. :)

@jimmylee1999 - I chose not to get that option.. it has a magnet in there to make it goto sleep but it has the strap to hold it close not the Magna-Grip Cover.. :)

@BlueRidgeRuckus Thanks! I was going to order the portenzo because of its craftsmanship but seeing so many people waiting forever was a bit discouraging. Maybe I'll go with the treegloo instead.

@lvncr - I really like my Portenzo with levant.. i would say any of them will work great.. the portenzos do seem to have great craftsmanship.. but there is a waiting list on orders.. i really like the pad and quill octavo.. i still have it too.. the treegloo is great.. my wife really likes it.. they offer some options you cannot get anywhere else (like the background pic which is nice) good luck..

Thanks this is really helpful. Which one of the 2 (the 23.5 and the treegloo) does your wife enjoy more? Are they heavy to carry around? I love the white leather but a bit worried that it'd get stained easily.

@lvncr - My wife actually likes her tregloo better then the 23.5.. they are not heavy to carry around.. it takes a lil while to get used to but now i cant see carrying it around without it since i can easily just throw it in my backback and go..
