Some how I managed to put the JAP model back together with the block 180 degrees out... so I went and swapped it today. Runs great now.

  • Excellent, sounds very sweet. Ratles but runs sweet, like the way you pick it up with it running, used to do that with suffolk engines and small Villiers'!

  • @steamwally does seem to run nice. Surprising as the technical term for this engine in terms of wear is 'shagged' lol

Maybe I should try the first 100m sprint whilst carrying a running engine... health and safety wouldn't be pleased.

  • Argh that would run very nicely on my small air compressor I have just got. Just about the right size. ??

  • Put the carb on a flexi hose so it can allways be upright and then see if the engine will run in any plain.
