How do he do a forward hop into roll?

Looks like a up-roll which means he was charging down. Forward hop is 3 button press move so he can still retain down charge and hop forward.

It still works in HDR but it only works on low tigers or other low attacks, like sweeps and stuff.

around 0:24, deejay goes through a low tiger shot doing the short charge kick, does this still work in hd remix, and does it only work against low tigers..or can it be timed against any projectile(which i doubt but) just wondering..never saw that done before
