The last line is aaalmost correct.
"It has been proven untrue. Many, many times over. Many times."
-
He fails to mention that Smith carried a pistol and shot through the door and killed 2 men. Crap.
-
The words of this man do not have one shred of doubt nor fear.

@bonsaibryanu Then what are you exactly? Never mind - it doesn't matter. You have that same spirit and I'm done talking with you. Why? Am I afraid of what I might uncover? Hardly. I've studied the arguments for the better part of 20 years and have been through this more times than I care to admit. It's a waste of time to go through it again when discussing with someone who obviously has their mind made up. The Spirit of God is my witness, and He does not lie. I know what I know by that Spirit.

@bonsaibryanu "Sigh" = "logical fallacy"? No, "sigh" = utter exasperation at answering the same kinds of questions to people with the same agenda on their plate time after time after time. "People like you" = "ad hominem"? No, you have revealed your biases and agenda. You're here on a pro LDS video attacking. But it's the same, old, tired stuff that has gone nowwhere for 180 years.
Mosser and Owens were honest about the state. You can't even answer my question. What were they talking about?
-
@bonsaibryanu link didn't make it through....
Do a google search for "Losing the Battle and Not Knowing It". Look for the article at cephas ministries or several other locations.

@bonsaibryanu Sigh
What do you suppose Mosser and Owens (2 leading Evangelical scholars) were talking about when they wrote this paper? Were they talking about you specifically or just people like you in gereral?

Occasionally I brouse through message boards on topics of religion and politics. What never ceases to amaze me is how people of whatever opinion will cling to a claim without really knowing the facts. And if someone makes a post that supports their position, even a highly questionable claim, they offer their unabashed support. Truth has lost it's importance in our society. Too bad.
For matters of the restored gospel, I've done my own research - independent of others. I know that it's true.
-
@bonsaibryanu Oh? Which LDS leader called it that? And let's assume for a moment that it went down the way you claim it did. If I can show you similar examples out of the Bible, are you going to trash that as well?

“I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person’s religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently, on faults of other people’s religions, he is in a bad condition.” –C.S. Lewis, Collected Letters Vol. 3 p. 209
Can any hoax withstand such events? I have never thought about it that way.
