@darkfudge Wow...so now the sustainability movement is a conspiracy to control people too? What control is he looking for? People learning to plant gardens and protect their life savings? Sounds sinister to me. When he leaves Burlington after this speech, what control does he impose? The citizens manage their own lives freely. I guess you're one of the ones on the Titanic that just wants to go back to the bar, saying people are doomers and the ship will never sink. Good luck.

Thank you very much for posting these videos. This is one of the best talks by Ruppert or anyone else that I've heard on the subject of peak oil, sustainability, and collapse. Kudos.

I have great respect for this man. I saw the lecture on November 2001 where he already then had solved the case of 9/11. The Peak Oil phenomena is for real but I fear he has started to spiral. We must separate the financial crisis of today from the oil crisis of tomorrow. They are both caused by the same paradigm but what matters is when the oil crisis itself induces the strain. His references to alcohol and weed is troubling. In the mentioned lecture he declared not using such for many years.

@Graveltongue That's because the selling of apocalypse and salvation is the oldest scam in the book and only a complete moron would pay 1000 bucks for that shit. Thats as bad as giving money to TV preachers.

Nice to see Mr Ruppert.
Thanks for posting series

A large country with a large population like America, will fall apart sooner then a smaller country with a smaller population like Britain.

Maybe I'm just ignorant, but, fear mongering aside, doesn't it make good sense to hedge against the failure of society as we know it by preparing for the worst? If nothing bad ever occurs, than where is the downside?
I think Ruppert has a point. If nothing else, having a lifeboat ready to go at a moments notice can't ever be a bad thing. I mean, even your car has a "spare tire" just in case right? Never heard anyone refer to that as fear mongering.

@helicoidaxiom I know. I got them wrong.

@JosephSolomonUS Rupert Murdoch is a powermad megalomaniac who controls the News Corporation, which is the umbrella company under which ALL the Fox networks fall, as well major media outlets like the Wall Street Journal, the Times of London, Nat Geo, etc. Hence he is a HUGE part of the problem. Not to be confused with Michael Ruppert, who is the gentleman giving this lecture.

it's time to act

@007sampson Your disdain of others is dangerous. I hope you wont/don't treat everyone like you r better than them. That's a very dangerous way to think. that's how the Nazis felt. if that the world you want to build upon? I've been involved in the preparedness movement for a long time and all I've come across is ppl that think they r better than every1 else. Just because u think u see whats coming doesnt put you in a position of superiority & it doesnt make others inferior. Y don't ppl get that?
I Iam not going to contend with his argument, some form of collapse is inevitable, that is natures way.
My issues with Mr. Ruppert are many fold but after visiting his Collapsenet site I was surprised to note that you could, for $1000, obtain lifetime membership. If his predictions come to fruition, as well they may, in the next few years, it would be inprudent to pay for a lifetime membership if that lifetime spanned no more than 2 to 3 years! There is something rotten in the state of Denmark.

@Graveltongue I agree, I found the $1000 lifetime membership to be strange as well. However, I *think* it's more of a donation thing. If I was going to go all-in and become part of the web of people, fund the site, help grow it, etc... then $1000 to just put in up front and stop worrying about a renewal, plus give them some capital...not to big a thing to ask. I blow $2000 a *month* on silver & gold ! haha Anyway, I notice several people are near me on the site's map. I'd love to meet them
