  • it looks like a car...

  • @h07swilkinson96 ...with no steering wheel...and a parachute...

  • Im wondering if i earn my PPL would i be able to buy me a cirrus? anyone know?

  • Yes, you can fly the Cirrus with a private pilot's license. The barrier you will run into is the minimum total time required for your insurance carrier. @parkflyer23

  • Confused! Is this a Flight simulator?

working on SPL would love to start in a

SR22 eventhough I would have to go for a PPL

  • @turbokitty222 No, this is the real thing. Great plane!

  • well the system will detect anything nearby operating with a transponder. Technically outside of a Class D someone could be flying without one-so it's good to keep looking. It's not exactly safe practice to be overly focused on aircraft systems in such a concentrated area like a pattern but they seem pretty competant.

  • This is probably one of the best cirrus cockpit videos I've seen. Very cool airplane.

  • @gmanzeroalpha While I agree with you that these guys are a bit too much 'inside' the cockpit, they are not flying IFR. They are just using autopilot to fly the airplane....which actually reduces workload and increases situtational awareness.

  • Where's the joystick?

  • This is a sweet airplane, wish I won the lotto!!!

    thanks for sharing...

  • do i need some kind of type rating to fly this aircraft? if so, can it be done in a simulator?

  • This was also my thought. Your looking at your Dash more than flying the plan in traffic. This is not VFR situational awareness it is IFR. It is not a good idea to be doing both VFR and IFR at the same time. They are two completely different mindsets. I fly in airports where the GA aircraft are too close for transponders so they don't use them and the pattern fills on a sunny day all the time. You are the element that makes you safe. Technology supports you. This is not following that concept
