I'M GOING FISHING by michael backhouse

'I'm Going Fishing' is one of my own songs, recorded onto a Zoom MRS-8, with one acoustic guitar and one vocal.

It was inspired by a friend who was keen on fly fishing and used to leave the family, job etc and go on these fishing trips. Or at least that's what he said he was doing.

I'm not much of a fisherman myself. The song was influenced by getting away as much as fishing itself.

I've made a slideshow video to go with the audio, including a couple of pictures of my Washburn DC60 acoustic guitar taken while I was doing a bit of busking (which I do regularly).

@tilimini296 - I just plugged my inexpensive Samick TMJ-5CE acoustic guitar and my Rode NT3 mic into one of the stereo channels on the MRS-8 and pressed record! I adjusted the guitar tone on the guitar's on board pre-amp boosting the bass and cutting back on the treble but used no effects or eq on the Zoom. There was a bit of bleed from the guitar into the vocal mic, which tends to make it sound full as you are getting direct feed in one channel and mic'd sound in the other. Good luck!
