@urbino08 you better was wash before talking to noel then!

Also David Gilmour said it himself that the Beatles were a huge influence on Pink Floyd. So really, Beatles set the bar and bands like Floyd, Oasis continue on with that flame, until the bands of today are influenced by all three bands combined!

in italy we are used to say: "wash your mouth before talking to someone"
So, " Noel, wash your mouth before talking to David Gilmour"!

@TheEmeraldnomad Genius in Pink Floyd was ROGER WATERS,and before him Syd Barrett.
They could be compared to Noel Gallagher.
Gilmour is a good guitar player, not a genius.
Understand prick?
Oasis never kidded anyone for who they were. You got what you saw. Working class lads making timeless music. Simple? So what. They sold out places like Knebworth, Maine Road and Wembley consistently. Live Forever was probably the best British song written for 20 years. If the Beatles were so colossal and fantastic, why wouldn't you try to replicate their sound and image? Bands like Radiohead, Pink Floyd etc. are creative geniuses but deep, enigmatic music often seems pretentious. Oasis weren't.
