I can tolerate many bizarre mechanisms in games, but there's one thing I absolutely despise in games and I hate it with all of my heart. Limited, or no control. With games like this, it's not player having fun. It's the computer. You just watch the damn AI entertaining itself.

That's why Majesty was shit, why pets in Black&White were shit, and that's why Gratuitous Space Battles is shit.

freespace was my favorite spaceship game of all time. I've played eve, but its rather boring. I'm sure when black prophecy comes out, that will replace freespace as my fav.
