On 21st April 1982, BR Network Southeast Class 508 no 031 failed to stop at the buffers of Shepperton station. It carried on another 10 metres, stopping just short of the main road in Shepperton, Middlesex.

Picutres were taken by me with a Pentax ME Super, with 400 ASA Kodak film, prints lain in a drawer till I re-discovered them. Scanned in on a Canon Pixmar MP40. Creases and stains removed with Adobe Photoshop Cs4

Produced with PowerDirector 9

  • Hah I'm gonna go see if there's a bit of the wall that looks different to the rest tomorrow...

  • Nice one I was told the cause of this was down to grease on the rail after some late night break tests and nobody told the first driver of the day to take it easy into Shepperton
