Had a little bit of time to kill, so I whipped a minor script between two characters from Metal Gear Solid 4: Vamp and Raiden.
Vamp was much easier to do an impression of, given his deep, usually gravelly, almost debonair voice. Raiden in MGS4 is a bit more breathy and growling than in MGS2 (understandable, for those who played the game). Unfortunately, having recorded this at late night, I couldn't go as loud and intense as I wanted, so Raiden's voice at bits (particularly during the grunts and screams, meant to indicate swinging of a blade or attacking) seem a bit too whiny to me.
Alas.
To compare the originals, here's a cutscene featuring Vamp and Raiden battling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R61cCB...
Note that MGS4 is rated M for Mature, so fair bit of warning before clicking the link.
Here's the dialogue for my impressions:
Raiden: VAMP!
Vamp: Yet again, our paths cross...ah...you too, immortal?
Raiden: No. I just don't fear death.
Vamp: Yes...could you be the one to finally finish me?
Raiden: You can oblige by standing still. *attacks* RAGH!
Vamp: Ah, a very rash man...
Raiden: *grunting as he swings blade*
Vamp: Too slow...too weak...too, fragile.
Raiden: *grunts as he's hit*
Vamp: Not a man...no, still just a little boy.
Raiden: Even a boy can be a soldier.
Vamp: *chuckles* Speaking from experience, are we? Yes...you and I, so alike. Brothers...even in blood.
Raiden: Don't recall becoming a vampire.
Vamp: Our blood calls us to the battlefield...the chapel where death serves his congregation. The only place for people like us.
Raiden: Vamp...!
Vamp: How about it, undying man? Care to die, too?
Raiden: Sorry...but I can't die just yet.
Vamp: Then kill me, little boy.
Raiden: Gladly.
Vamp: Excellent. *laughs*
I readily acknowledge that my Raiden is weak, but Vamp was much easier to pull off.
My voice doesn't like growling that much, but then again I'm just an amateur.
