On Boxing Day afternoon as most Railfans were at home with their families I was out in the stormy NSW Central West looking for rail action. A stop in Blayney found 8108 shunting an ore train, with 8176 still out of sight at this time. After seeing 8108 enter the platform at Blayney and getting a photo, I headed east of the station and up into the hills on the road to Newbridge. A wait of around 20 mins rewarded me with the sight of double 81's climbing the 1 in 75 Grade.
