The Piano sounds strange because I made some settings which port the PAL version I used back to NTSC. This included rising the FPS from 50 to 60 which makes the Sound go a bit faster (Without pitching... thanks to the great sound plugin PCSX2 comes with).
Played with PCSX2: 8xAA, 1280x1024
Recorded with Fraps

  • Ok dude plz help me out here....

    My system:

    Q9300 cpu 2.5GHz quad

Gtx 260 graphics card, capable of shader 4.0 and fully dx10

    4gigs of DDR2 ram

    Windows vista ultimate SP1

Now my system runs it kinda stupid I was wondering if you can give me the right plugins or maybe a guide to setting it up right cuz i have no idea wtf im doing i guess.... plz help

  • 1st make sure u have the latest beta 0.9.5 SVN Rev. 377 (NOT 0.9.4). In PCSX2 go to Options -> Speed Hacks and turn everything on. Then go to Options -> Processor and turn everything on. Use the trame limit option and type a custom FPS. 50 for PAL, 60 for NTSC. Use GSdx 0.1.9 for graphics and ZeroSPU2 0.4.6 for the sound.

Your System is fast so you schould be able to play alot PS2 games at max fps.

  • i mean frame limit, not trame.. stupid keyboard :O

  • Do you know how to rip a PAL game onto a DVD so that it would read on a NTSC PS2 or PC? I've tried using patches but they always give me a slight double image during scenes like this

  • The emulator doesn't care about copy protections so u can rip an image without keeping 100 things in mind but I don't know how to copy a PS2 game so it can be read by a PS2.

  • Awesome man, I have tried playing ffX international on pcsx2, and it seems to work flawlessly, accept i cannot seem to get past the part where Tidus goes "Auron look!". I know this is a well known glitch but I cannot seem to get past it no matter what I do, I have checked the pcsx2 forums and I followed the guide there, but to no prevail, can you make any suggestions?

  • I read about that bug but it didnt occur on my PC.

I'm using the PAL (German) Version of the game with the latest beta version of PCSX2 (0.9.5 SVN Rev. 377), all speed hacks turned on.

Graphics plugin: ZeroGS Kosmos 0.97 (with FFX Hack turned on)

    Sound: SeroSPU 0.4.6

I don't know if this is important also but I ripped an image from the original game DVD before I started playing (To speed things up a bit).

  • Well i'm playing it from the cd using, P.E.O.p.S. CDVD (CDDA mod) 1.3.0 and zero GS Kosmos 0.97.0 with FFX hack, bilnear filtering and 16X anti- aliasing, I have enabled dual core and MTGS, along with frame limit. I am using japanese bios, and so far i have managed 60fps throughout most places accept for the crowded area's where i recieve a slight decrease. My spec's are as follows:

    Intel Core 2 DUO E6750,Sapphire ATI HD 3870 512MB PCI - E and 2x Crucial Ballistix 1024MB 1066Mhz
