The ties are designed unlike normal tires. Instead of being simply filled with air, they are actually filled with a super-strong mesh of plastic and flexible metal. Inside, this honeycomb shape of polymer and metal bends and gives the vehicle bounce, but if you were to shoot at the tire,nothing would actually happen.
